M45A1 Inspired 1911 45ACP

USPSA Single Stack Division

Custom built this 1911 for a competitive shooter with an appearance inspired by the Colt M45A1.

Frame/Slide are from Caspian Arms and fitted for a tight yet smooth cycle to include my internal honing process. Mated that foundation with a NM Kart barrel and solid lockup on the link/bushing for optimal accuracy performance.

Cylinder&Slide ignition system fully fitted, modified and tuned to a short roll tactical match 3lb break.

Controls/Internals are from EGW for superior reliability and longevity along with their improved part geometry for increased shooter ergonomics.

For improved shooter control/handling a 25lpi front and back strap checkering along with matching extended mag release and a flared mag well/chute.

Paired the checkering grip and positive controls with VZ Operator II MARSOC grip for a rugged build that performs even better then it looks.
