Custom Rebuild S/A 1911
Always starting a S/A rebuild (customers specifications) by removing the cast/miim parts and performing internal honing work of the critical surfaces along with any necessary repairs/modifications.
At this point, it’s about the “heavy lifting” all the major fitting tasks of new components and tuning/aligning the system.
Next is the external blending and any necessary cosmetic work. Followed up by post blending is final edge work and surface prep work prior to refinishing.
At this stage of refinishing/final assembly all final detail work is completed during assembly after post refinishing treatment. This includes final honing/tuning of the ignition system, polishing of the feed ramp, and performing safety/function testing.
Lastly, I bolt on the grips and take it out back for some live fire testing to ensure everyone of my shooters has a formidable sidearm in their arsenal.
